In 2016, Lucas Laufen took his life halfway around the world, re-locating from his quiet coastal hometown in Australia to Berlin, Germany. Since the middle of 2016 and the release of his debut EP 'Goodbye', he has played over 200 shows across Europe, building an already loyal fanbase from the ground up.
Laufen’s music is the sort that makes us stop and breathe: sombre falsetto melodies married to shimmering guitar; elemental orchestrations that yearn and plunge – the coastal poetry of the wild Australian imaginary. Lucas has recently completed his debut album with Ben Edwards (Marlon Williams, Aldous Harding) which is set for release in December 2019.
